We currently have one opening for **Kitchen helper/Deli Clerk**. This role is permanent and part-time.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepare a wide variety of deli meats, cheeses, party trays, deli sandwiches, Pizzas, Lasagna and other Italian Dishes
- Ensure excellent food quality, quantity, freshness and presentation
- Stocking displays to ensure adequate levels in the deli department
- Ensure all prepared items are properly labeled, covered and rotated in compliance with company’s policies and established practices for safety, sanitation and customer service
- Keep department continually clean, well maintained and organized
- Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Food safe certificate is an asset
- Previous retail or customer service experience in an Italian deli setting is an asset
- Previous kitchen experience with Italian Food isan asset
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and handle up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Great customer service skills with a desire to provide a great shopping experience for customers
- Willingness and availability to work
- Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner
