**Job Summary**
The Environmental Services Technician / Personal Support Worker plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within our facility. This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. This position will also entail working with elderly patients and providing one-on-one care such as assisting with personal care, assessments, transfers and health maintenance.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of designated areas, including patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure thorough disinfection and cleanliness.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and safety procedures.
- Comply with Hyperbaric safe linen protocols while laundering 100% cotton linens and scrubs.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in environmental services.
- Assisting with lifting, turning, and positioning patients
- Taking blood pressures, temperatures, pulses, blood sugars and administering first aid.
- Assisting with dressing and grooming.
- Bed Making.
- Assisting patients with their pretreatment digital checklists.

**Skills**
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills; interacting with staff and patients.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

**Job Requirments**

Personal Support Worker Certificate preferred

First Aid Certification preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 37.5 per week
