Jimolly's Bakery Cafe is looking for a friendly and experienced barista/customer service individual. As a barista you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, preparing sandwiches and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as sandwiches
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, food display cases, and seating areas.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle cash and card transactions using a point-of-sale system.
- Answer customer questions and provide recommendations for menu items.
- Assist with cleaning and restocking as needed.
- Ensure that all opening and closing duties are completed according to established procedures.
- Uphold a high level of customer service, making sure that all customers have a positive experience at the cafe.

**Requirements**:

- 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult customers and situations.
- Knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Food safety certification is preferred.

**Salary**: $13.60-$15.00 per hour

- French not required

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Truro, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
