**The Role**:
As a Product Design Manager you will work with product managers, researchers, engineers, and other designers to define, shape, and deliver a multitude of experiences across various digital platforms. As a senior leader in the team, you will also help guide, mentor, and expand the design team and practice.
**What you'll be doing**:
Directly manage a team of 2 to 3 designers in our Winnipeg office, supporting their personal and professional growth in a high performance environment
Work other leaders across Product Design to elevate the craft of the design team and grow the practice
Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and designers to human-centric product experiences
Advocate for UX considerations and investments in the quality of our experience in broader team strategy
Drive design strategy and alignment across teams alongside senior individual contributors
Proactively search for and tackle high-level issues and opportunities that influence the team, organization, and product
**Who we're looking for**:
2+ years of experience leading teams, managing, and developing people
An advocate for others and motivated to help them reach their potential
Extensive UX, UI, IA experience, with a critical eye for execution within the team
Excellent communication and storytelling skills; you have the ability to help your stakeholders understand the “why” behind the design rationale of your team's solutions
Exceptional designer who has delivered many consumer products in an agile environment over the years, and understands what it takes to create consumer-oriented experiences
Experience launching software at scale with an instinct for planning and prioritization of time and effort
Ability to balance short term needs whilst contributing to the development of long term strategic goals
Passionate and focused on growing your leadership skills but can roll up your sleeves and execute design work if necessary
