Edenbridge Family Services is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a passion for supporting persons with developmental disabilities.

**Job Title**: Community Disability Support Worker

**Job Summary**: You will support people with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes and participate in the community as independently as possible. You will support people to be active participants in their own lives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Being a role model and companion while assisting with life skills and recreation and leisure activities.
- Supporting people to achieve their dreams and goals and explore new opportunities.
- Assisting with day-to-day household management.
- Supporting people with medication administration, lifting, transferring and physical supports.
- Providing emotional support and personal care.

**What would you need to be part of our team**:

- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with $2 million liability insurance.
- Emergency first Aid, CPR.
- A Criminal Record Check inclusive of the Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Previous experience in Disability Services is an asset.
- Ability to teach and promote life skills.
- CPR/ First Aid
- Police Security Check
- CPI certification (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- Positive Behavior Support

Participate in mandatory in-service training as indicated by the Executive Director.

**Job Types**:
Part-time: 20 hours

Full-time: 40 hours

Edenbridge Family Services Inc. has been providing services to adults and children with special needs since 1990, as well as to individuals requiring personal care services. In addition, Edenbridge has also been a teaching facility, providing training and certification in a number of areas specific to direct client service. Edenbridge, as we presently exist, continues in the traditions, policies and excellence it has created to provide ongoing supports and services to children and adults with Developmental Disabilities, support for those who require assistance with their independence, and individuals with Mental Health challenges.
