Role Summary
The Labourer position is a full time regular position on our construction site. This position reports to the Site Superintendent and works closely alongside other team members in a collaborative manner. All work performed must comply within BlueCity’s high quality standards of quality workmanship. BlueCity Construction employees all work to ensure their work is done in a safe and timely manner.
Successful applicant must have TCP (Traffic Control Person) certification

Key Accountabilities

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
1. Perform daily site maintenance tasks to ensure the site is clean
2. Maintain a professional project site by collecting garbage and ensuring garbage collection bins are used efficiently
3. Assist project site team members upon request by fulfilling all work requests
4. Maintain understanding and ensure compliance with Century Grange’s safety program
5. Operate and maintain labourer tools and equipment, ensure all equipment is in operating condition before use
6. Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to & from work areas
7. Perform comprehensive house cleaning duties on the interior and exterior of homes to ensure the home is clean and presentable at all times
8. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, training and professional development
9. Perform other related duties as required

Education & Experience
- Must have TCP (Traffic Control Person) certification.
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a labourer in the construction industry with basic knowledge and use of hand tools and power tools.
- Level 2 First Aid an asset.
- Ability to maintain a positive professional attitude and work in a fast paced environment.
- Experience in large projects would be an asset.
- Must have a satisfactory criminal record check.

- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Good team player and takes direction well
- Manual lifting is a requirement
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter who leads by example and readily assumes responsibility for results
- Strong work ethic, high standards, and a sense of personal accountability and ownership
- Punctual, reliable, dependable and self-motivated
- Dedicated to meeting and exceeding BlueCity objectives as well as fulfilling personal and career-related goals
