Shoring Nozzleman

**Matcon Excavation & Shoring Ltd** is one of the Lower Mainland's leading and most highly respected construction companies. Due to continued growth within our Shoring division, we are currently seeking an experienced Nozzleman. You will be part of a rapidly growing group with room to move up with in the company.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Work safely in a construction site and promote a safe work environment adhering to safety policies and procedures including participation in safety meetings
- Responsible for daily maintenance and safety inspections of their assigned piece(s) of equipment as outlined in Matcon's equipment policy
- Work with the Foreman and other team members to ensure services are located and ready for drilling, including setup of equipment and safety checks
- Maintain quality results of work to be done
- Work as a team with other crew members on daily activities of the site

**Essential Job Functions**
- Must have construction experience.
- Minimum 2+ years’ Shotcrete Nozzleman experience in shoring sites
- Must possess valid Class 5 Drivers License and be able to travel to sites across region
- Maintain quality results of work to be done
- Maintain equipment and promptly report any maintenance issues
- Good communications ability, able to work with variety of individuals
- Work as a team with other crew members on daily activities of the site
- Understanding of Safety and ability to communicate Safety issues as they arise
- Must be physically fit, able to spend most or all shift standing, walking, lifting and carrying, working hands-on in an outdoor environment in all types of weather
- Flexibility with hours worked, including overtime and weekend work as needed
- Willingness to learn and possibly work across both our divisions (deep excavation and civil site services)

**Shift**
- Overtime after 8 hours
- Time and a half Saturdays(upon request to work)
- Double time Sundays and Holidays (rare occasion)

**Further Information**
- Every Matcon employee is required to arrive for orientation clean shaven for a Respirator Fit Exam, if you are required to wear one beyond the orientation you must remain clean shaven, as a condition of employment.

**Salary**: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
