Your opportunity

Work closely with Senior Associates and Managers on audit, client service and review engagements. Review client files to understand businesses and develop strong technical audit skills.

Your major responsibilities

Lead planning meetings for review and low risk audit engagements

Perform review engagements independently from planning to completion, providing updates to Managers

Manage timeline and budget for review engagements

Prepare financial statements including customizing note disclosure

Identify and communicate tax concerns to Senior Associates or Managers as needed

Identify and research accounting issues with Manager to create work plans to address

Develop appropriate engagement program including risk analysis, the calculation of materiality and appropriate procedures

Assist and train new associates as needed

What we look for

Pursuing a Canadian CPA designation

Completion of a Bachelors degree majoring in Accounting, Commerce or Business

Under two (2) years experience with a public accounting firm focused on assurance accounting and tax

Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep is an asset

Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment

Excellent written and verbal communication
