**Salary**: $3,076.28 to $4,053.05 bi-weekly ($80,290 - $105,784 /year)
Forestry and Parks - Responsible for growing our manufactured wood products and forestry sector, preserving, and managing our public lands and protected areas. **Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Lands Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to various direct reports (comprising of professionals; technical specialists; technologist) in administering the approvals, licenses, permits, disposition management and monitoring programs for all activities designated under the _Public Lands Act_ and Public Lands Administrative Regulations.
The incumbent will need to be aware and familiar with relevant related legislation such as the E_nvironmental Protection and Enhancement Act_, _Water Act_ and _Forest Act_. Within the legislative framework as Lands Approval Team Lead, the incumbent is responsible for implementing Provincial and Regional policies, procedures, directives and/or guidelines, representing the Department in defense of actions and decisions made within the program. Procedures will be implemented and developed by the management team to ensure that the integration of forest, water, range, land, environmental practices, and program approvals are delivered in a timely, accurate as well as efficient manner.

**Qualifications**:
- Required:
- A completed university degree in a related field (Environmental Science, Forestry or other Natural Resource Program is preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of related experience with the principles and practices of integrated land management.
Equivalences may be considered: Additional related education considered in lieu of experience, one year of education for one year of experience or vise versa.

- Experience with or knowledge of the interpretation of Land Management policy, legislation and administration.
