Early Childhood Educator Level 1, 2, 3 or School Age Approved The East Preston Day Care Centre is looking for eager and energetic Early Childhood Educators to join our Centres in East Preston, Dartmouth and Porter's Lake

We are looking for Educators with Full-Time Availability.

Established in 1974, the East Preston Day Care Centre is a fully licensed day care offering care to children aged 3 months to 10 years. Using an emergent curriculum, we have diverse programming that caters to each child's individual needs and interests, while encouraging them to learn together, side-by-side.

Through play, education, and discovery, children are able to grow independently while still interacting with one another and exploring what it means to be part of a community. In this role, you will provide nurturing care and education to young children in a group setting. Each day, you will help children to learn and grow by encouraging a daily balance of activities and encourage the development at the appropriate level for each child.

We would also love to connect with ECE Qualified Immigrants, Qualifications to be confirmed by the Province of Nova Scotia for consideration.

**Responsibilities**

When working with us, you will be responsible for constant supervision, safety & well-being of the children, along with providing a safe, loving and caring environment, staff all share the responsibility for programming, preparing & implementing stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage children's creativity and learning to promote each child's social, emotional, cognitive & physical development.

We believe it is very important to be able to establish and maintain respectful and open communication amongst and with coworkers, children, and parents. You must also understand and implement our routine & daily practices, all in full compliance with EPDCC Policies and Procedures. Specifically, all staff must participate in professional development focusing on maintaining currency of ECE qualification.

**Qualifications**

NS ECE Classification Certificate of Level 1, 2, 3 or School Aged Approval or equivalent programmes certified by Nova Scotia Department of Education

Valid Vulnerable Sector Check

Child Abuse Registry Check

First Aid & CPR with Level B or C

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.59-$29.64 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
