As a Meraki Group Controller, you will assist the VP of Finance while partnering with the various GM’s and Company Controllers on strategic direction.

You will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions and financial reporting processes for various companies in the group that require leadership at critical times. With your strong technical background, you will be responsible for the preparation of account reconciliations, and required tax filings, and provide guidance on company equipment tracking, and job cost reporting, and required tax filings. Working with the VP Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the month end closing process. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about the full scope of the business and directly impact operational changes.

**How you’ll excel in this position**
- With your natural leadership skills, you will provide strong mentorship and guide company finance teams to build collaborative working relationships between operations and finance.
- You will bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to problem solve as you assist in overseeing the financial response to a dynamic operation.
- With your comfort using technology and implementing system changes, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies within current processes across multiple businesses.

**Your experience**
- University degree or diploma in Accounting/Business or Finance related.
- Designated CPA
- 5+ years’ progressive experience as a full cycle accountant or public firm experience
- Experienced in managing, coaching, and developing staff.
- Experience with audit, and internal controls and building business processes is required.
- Strong background in equipment and job cost reporting, dashboard and KPI development
- Experience in transactional accounting i.e., Accounts Receivables, Payroll, etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office program suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
- Familiar with ERP use; Vista ERP knowledge is considered an asset.
- Valid B.C. driver’s license.
- Positive team attitude and ability to bring out the best in those around you.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in change management.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
