**About us**:
Deans Carpet One Floor & Home is a family run business (since 1963) providing retail flooring and installation services to our loyal customers from 2 stores located in Duntroon and Meaford. We pride ourselves on selling quality products, providing professional installation and offering a high level of customer service.

As a Sales Associate, you will use your sense of design for style and colour in assisting customers with floor covering selection, job estimating and general sales administration.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcome clients and establish professional rapport
- Assist customers with floor covering and window covering selection while promoting the Carpet One warranties and product attributes
- Job estimating and preparing quotes using our custom software
- Booking appointments for in home measures
- Assist in ordering and stocking of products, samples and supplies
- Continually improving product knowledge (training will be providing)

**Required Skills and knowledge**:

- Previous experience in the floor covering industry an asset but not required
- Post secondary education in business or interior design
- 3 - 5 years sales experience
- Enthusiastic, personable, willing to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service skills
- The ability to work effectively under pressure

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Day shift

- sales: 3 years (preferred)
