Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the property, both interior and exterior. This includes daily cleaning of offices, washrooms, boardrooms, lunchrooms and defined shop floor areas. In addition to sustaining a high level of indoor cleanliness, the custodian will be responsible for the exterior of the building as well, which includes yard maintenance, window cleaning and garbage pickup. In the winter months, the custodian will ensure all walkways are cleared of snow and salted.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate power tools and ground maintenance equipment, drill, lawnmower, snowblower, industrial cleaners, etc.
- Washing windows, interior walls and ceilings
- Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles and other waste containers
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing and waxing hallways, floors and stairs
- Cutting grass and tending the grounds and plants
- Coordinating sprinkler maintenance
- Cleaning and disinfecting washrooms and fixtures
- May require moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Maintaining stock of cleaning supplies and keeping custodian room organized
- Supporting Maintenance & Methods teams on shop organizing activities
- General support of shop maintenance, such as patching holes and painting
- Keeping a collection of all cleaning records and maintaining any necessary data/reporting for audits
- When required, additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Team Lead, Facilities

**Requirements**:

- Dependable and reliable, with a positive attitude
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Comfortable operating cleaning equipment
- Physically able to lift and move furniture, as needed
- Experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance, would be considered an asset
- Adhere to health and safety policies
