We’re excited to expand our offerings by introducing **recreational cheerleading program** — and we’re looking for the right instructor to lead the way
**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic **Cheerleading Instructor** to teach recreational cheerleading classes on Fridays. This is a part-time role, perfect for someone passionate about cheer, dance, or gymnastics who enjoys working with children and creating a positive, team-based environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Teach recreational cheerleading classes focused on chants, motions, dance, jumps, and safe introductory stunts/tumbling.
- Create a fun, supportive atmosphere that builds confidence and teamwork.
- Develop age-appropriate class plans.
- Ensure student safety by following proper cheerleading progressions and spotting techniques.
- Potential to help grow the program into camps, workshops, or performance teams.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience as a cheerleader (university, competitive, or recreational level) OR as a gymnastics/dance coach with cheerleading knowledge.
- Coaching certifications an asset (NCCP, Cheer Canada, or equivalent).
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; enthusiastic and motivating personality.
- Must enjoy working with children and youth.
**Schedule & Compensation**:
- Fridays (afternoon/evening classes, exact hours TBD).
- Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.
**Job Type**: Part-time
