Associate Maintenance Material Planner

- ** Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to maintain correct and effective levels of parts inventory to support the production schedule and attain working capital goals.**:

- ** Negotiate and source purchase agreements meeting required standards and daily needs.**:

- ** Review, plan and organize existing purchasing activities of the maintenance and other departments.**:

- ** Review purchased items with Maintenance Planner to ensure quality of materials and ensure adherence to company specifications.**:

- ** Document and resolve supplier quality problems. Request and report cause and corrective action reports to prevent reoccurrence.**:

- ** Troubleshoot supply and service problems ensuring seamless customer service to all other departments.**:

- ** Actively engage in plant safety, quality and operations activities as recommended.**:

- ** Maintain a working knowledge of other purchasing functions including raw materials.**:

- ** Work closely with Stores Clerk managing inventory and daily reports.**:

- ** Assist in planning and performance of company physical inventories/cycle counting.**:

- ** Maintain data bases for spares and orders updating the status and communicating to Maintenance Planner and Manager.**:

- ** Assist maintenance team members in determining specific parts to order when break downs occur.**:

- ** Create purchase orders, track inbound dates and communicate status to the team.**:

- ** Work environment: office, production floor, maintenance shop, and store room.**:

- ** Other duties as assigned including back up for other team members.**:
**Qualifications, Education & Experience**:

- **Post-Secondary Degree/ Diploma in Purchasing, Maintenance or Engineering.**:

- ** Knowledge in CMMS system and food industry maintenance and best practices preferred.**:

- ** Proven progressive experience in a purchasing role or in a maintenance role.**:

- ** Experience drafting/interpreting and negotiating vendor agreements while mitigating risks.**:

- ** Ability to analyze and compile mathematical and statistical data and compile reports.**:

- ** Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as time and project management skills.**:

- ** Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.**:
