Shipping Superintendent

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Manage daily shipping operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the preparation of shipping documents and control measures.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with other departments.
- Responsible for creating, implementing, managing and monitoring warehouse results in accordance with the established warehouse budget to ensure objectives are met or exceeded
- Prioritize teamwork, excellence and quality of service offered to customers, by ensuring a synergy among all levels of management within the facility in order to meet the company’s strategic objectives and performance standards.
- Supervise and lead subordinates (Shipping Clerks, Order pickers Pre loaders, Loader, Put Away etc.)
- Conduct regular inspections of shipping processes to maintain high standards of quality control.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in shipping and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with managers to align shipping schedules within timelines.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in a Manager role within the shipping industry is essential.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred
- 5+ years of manger experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment.(Forklift, Reach Truck, Center Rider, Walkie etc.)
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Excellent talent management and team building skills
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills specifically with external clients
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the customer.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining productivity.
