Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Process large amounts of data for statistical modelling and graphic analysis using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL), including writing new and editing existing scripts to programmatically mine information from relational databases.
- Ensuring data integrity by performing rigorous cleaning, error checking, and validation.
- Analyzing data using statistical methods to solve project-specific problems.
- Working in collaboration with our data management team.
- Describing, interpreting, and summarizing conclusions of statistical analyses.
- Presenting statistical findings to the project team in reports that include executive summaries, charts, tables, and graphs.
- Documenting processes and keeping informed of technological advancements in the field of statistical analysis.
- Interacting with internal and external clients to support statistical analysis for environmental engineering, geotechnical and geoscience projects.

Education and Licensure:

- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, chemistry, environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
- M.S. or Ph.D. in statistics or equivalent experience in applied statistics or a related discipline. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

- At least 5 years of experience in an environmental consulting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Knowledge of statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) and relational databases (Access, SQL, etc.) to manipulate/visualize data and draw insights from large data sets. (required)
- Knowledge of a variety of multivariate statistical methods (clustering, principal component analysis, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. (required)
- An outstanding track record for quality deliverables, client management and technical leadership. (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail. (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (preferred)
- Strong math skills, e.g., statistics, algebra, etc. (preferred)
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude. (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds. (preferred)
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
