As the newest _**Maintenance Helper**_ for **K-Bro Linen Systems**(K-BRO), you will be based out of our centrally located facility in **Burnaby at 8035 Enterprise Street**, just off Lougheed Highway (near Lake City Skytrain Station). This modern commercial laundry facility underwent a multi-million dollar upgrade in 2018 and services some of the largest and most recognized global hotel brands located in the Greater Vancouver area and Whistler.

**POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Helper**

Location: Burnaby, BC (8035 Enterprise St.)

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ensure equipment, machinery and operating systems are running and functioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems etc.; inspect and measure machinery.
- Use tools provided, parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
- Repair and maintain all conveyor belts.
- Performance preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Work independently when needed help coworkers.
- Comply with all company safety guidelines, procedures and policies; maintain a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
- Perform other duties in the Maintenance department as required.

**Skills, Qualities, and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Knowledge & Skills**_
- Basic electrical knowledge in an industrial environment or technical school.
- Basic mechanical and electrical installation and troubleshooting abilities.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of basic mechanical systems.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, machine tools such as drills and grinders.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions to complete routine procedures and operate equipment.
- Ability to anticipate and identify problems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- **Communication, Time Management & Teamwork**_
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team; eagerness and ability to learn new skills.

**Salary**:Start from $21.00 per hour

**Work Hours**: 8 hours
- 5 days per week; Must be able to work weekends as well as early or late hours to meet operational needs.
