**LOOKING FOR DEDICATED & SAFETY FOCUSED CREW FOR UPCOMING DSV WORK **

Reliance Offshore, a subsidiary of I. H. Mathers, has been providing trusted crewing services to global marine and oil & gas sectors since 1981. We are currently seeking experienced Fitters for upcoming offshore marine projects.

**JOB/POSITION**:

- Fitter

The Fitter is given tasks by the Chief Engineer and also both 2nd Engineers. These tasks include the use of welding and cutting equipment, as well as general metalwork and fabrication. They are also expected to use machine tools to a medium level of ability.

Essential:

- Completion of recognised welding ability courses
- Completion of recognised basic fitting and machining skills courses to allow them to safely operate onboard machine tools

Preferred:

- Several years experience on a variety of vessels which have led to a good all round knowledge of fabrication and machining skills. Must be able to work unsupervised and give a consistent output of good quality work

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 6+ Months working onboard construction vessel with 50+ POB

**MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**:

- Valid Canadian Passport or Permanent Resident Status
- Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineering or a Relevant Trade Apprenticeship
- Valid STCW'95 Basic Safety Training (Section A-VI/1 - Tables A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3, A-VI/1-4)
- Ship Security with Designated Security Duties (VPWSR) (Reg. VI/6 - Section A-VI/6)
- WHMIS 2015
- Marine First Aid Certification
- TC Marine Medical
- Must be willing to undergo industry required medical & drug assessments
