Englobe Corp. is on an exciting growth path in Atlantic Canada and we are currently looking for a Materials Technician to join our excellent team We have openings in our Dartmouth, NS office for individuals looking for a 8 month internship (May to December)

Your Contribution:
As a Materials Technician you will work in collaboration with the Materials team
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Receiving and properly recording all field samples for testing and/or holding
- Asphalt laboratory testing to match current NSPW requirements - Marshall Method and Superpave Method
- Laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, and Portland cement concrete samples according to the relevant ASTM, AASHTO, CSA or other applicable test standard
- Field inspection and testing during placement of aggregates, hot mix asphalt and Portland cement concrete. Note that extended stays at mobile site operations throughout Nova Scotia may be required based on project requirements
- Communicate results effectively with client and Englobe supervisor
- Maintain proper record of field test results for review and subsequent submissions
Your Profile:
- Team-oriented and an excellent communicator
- Valid driver's license and submission of driver’s abstract
- A reliable car is a preferred and reimbursement of mileage will be provided
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Nova Scotia on an as-required basis
