Landscape Project Lead

We are looking for detail and customer-oriented people who enjoy the outdoors, don't mind hard work, and take pride in the work they do. Preference will be given to those who can demonstrate a strong knowledge with various landscape elements.
- **A driver’s licence and reliable transportation is a must.**
- Having a truck and willing to use for work is an asset but not required. (A vehicle allowance would be provided)
- Must be physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting for long periods of time.
- Good working attire is necessary, gloves, eye protection, steel toed boots, work pants, etc. as working in extreme weather condition may be required.

**Responsibilities and Duties** (include but not limited to:)

**Team lead**

Be familiar with the days tasks and how it fits in with the overall scope of projects and assignments.

Assist with the overall planning implementation of projects from start to finish.

Ensure team resources are being utilized to full potential in an efficient manner continually focusing on quality workmanship in clean & safe work environments.

Be willing and able to participate hands on with completion of quality work with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Training new team members & building on associated skills as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Any** of the following knowledge and experience is an asset;
**- Hardscapes**
- Paver installation processes for patios, driveways, & walkways.
- Retaining wall & raised garden bed installation.

**- Garden Bed Construction**
- Aggregates, mulch and materials available within the region.
- Various soil types and amendments.
- Various material edging and dividers.

**- Lawn installation**
- Sod installation processes
- Seeding processes
- Synthetic options and installation

**- Irrigation Systems**
- New installations
- Routine maintenance and repair

**- Construction**
- Deck & Fence construction & installation.
- Trellis, gazebo, & arbor construction & installation.

**- Equipment**
- Various types of equipment available for small or large jobs
- Operation, care, & maintenance

**Other Related Duties**

Assisting with other activities within the organization may be required to ensure position success.

**Winter (October - April)**
- Clear snow from residential properties throughout the city using various types of small equipment including but not limited to Snow Blowers, Backpack Blowers, Shovels, Scrapers...

**Spring (April - May)**
- Yard Clean Up including but not limited to Aerating, Power raking, Leaf and debris removal, garden tilling, flower and shrub planting

**Summer (May - September)**
- Routine yard maintenance including but not limited to Lawn Mowing & Trimming, Shrub and small tree pruning, garden and flower bed weeding, lawn fertilizing and weed control, Irrigation maintenance and adjustments.

**Fall (October - November)**
- Yard Clean Up Including but not limited to Aerating, Leaf and debris Removal, Irrigation system blow out/winterizing.
- **All Seasons**_
- _Assist with all property & building maintenance and projects when required including but not limited to Landscape Projects, Minor renovation & construction, Minor Plumbing, Junk Removal, General Cleaning._

**Job Type: Part-Time/Full Time**

Salary Range: Negotiable based on ability & experience.

Hours of work may vary based on ability & willingness to perform a variety of different tasks.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
