**Purpose**:
The Bilingual Telephone Interviewer is responsible for collecting information for various research projects.

**Education**:
Must be enrolled as a York student.

**Experience**:
Related experience with telemarketing or other telephone-oriented work.

**Skills**:
1. Ability to demonstrate a friendly, pleasant and professional telephone manner, a clear and confident speaking voice and good verbal and written English and French language skills. 2. Strong interpersonal skills, including discretion, tact and diplomacy.3. Ability to secure and maintain cooperation of respondents contacted by telephone. 4. Ability to record responses and other data accurately.5. Ability to follow instructions and implement interviewing guidelines.6. Demonstrates judgment in problem recognition and request for supervisor's assistance.7. Ability to maintain confidentiality.8. Accurate typing speed of at least 30 w.p.m. and some familiarity with computers.
