Sales Associate

This job is a front line, in-store position selling directly to our retail customers at our Burlington location. Responsibilities include determining customers' needs, showing the value of our products and helping the customer select and customize their products. Other duties would include customer follow up, delivery scheduling and general maintenance of showroom. The ability to do minor furniture assembly would be an asset. These positions are commission based with starting salary of $17/hour. Commissions can range from an additional $4-10+/hour based on volume of sales.
This job can start May 1 or sooner. This could be a good opportunity for a post secondary student.
Daytime shifts - weekends required.
We have two positions available:
Full-time (35-40 hours per week) until September
Part-time (15-30 hours per week) until September
**Job Requirements**
- Relevant retail experience is required
- Ability to learn a large amount of product knowledge to better assist customers.
- Ability to learn a complex POS system.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- A customer service attitude.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Willingness to learn and try new ideas.
- Experience with basic hand tools and assembly work is an asset.
- Ability to handle a fast paced work environment as well as some slow times.
