**What do we do?**
Bartek manufactures Malic and Fumaric acid and high purity Maleic Anhydride at their plants located in Stoney Creek, Ontario. We are a food grade manufacturer and global distributor of our products.

**What are we looking for?**
The HACCP Operator will possess a positive attitude, and demonstrate core values including integrity, trust, respect and responsibility. High attention to detail is required for this role as is intimate familiarity with Bartek’s Quality and BRC protocols. The HACCP Operator reports to the day shift Team Lead but is ultimately under the control of the Quality Manager.

**Position Description**:

- Brushing, sweeping, picking up any residual powder, dust and/or waste
- Dumping waste into the garbage compactor
- Visually inspecting packaging storage and taking appropriate corrective actions
- Completing all relevant documentation including checklists
- Daily cleaning and housekeeping of packaging stations, bays, bulk hopper rooms, screen rooms, and dust collectors
- Daily cleaning and housekeeping of spills, leaks, tank farms
- Daily high-level cleaning of pipes and fixtures
- Collection and disposal of debris, tools, and materials in the interior, roof, and exterior of the building
- Daily cleaning in other areas as identified in the housekeeping process control plan as updated
- Other duties as assigned by the day Team Lead / Quality Manager

**Abilities & Requirements**:

- Must have a strong dedication to workplace safety, quality, and food safety
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must become trained in working at heights, forklift, skid-steer, scissor-lift
- Must be able to work well supervised as well as indirectly supervised
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, 12-hour days, and willing to work overtime when required
- Must be able to work in an industrial setting with the following stressors: Constant noise, humidity - depending on season, some trace dust in air - depending on role, standing for long periods and cleaning for extended periods of time, lift up to 25kg, repetitive duties that require physical endurance
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions
- Ability to act in accordance with Standard Procedures supporting company-wide operational, service and safety guidelines
- Good verbal and written English communication skills

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Recruitment is mostly done virtually to satisfy physical distancing guidelines under Pandemic Protocols as recommended by Public Health. We have other COVID-19 policies in place.
