**THE ROLE**
Under the supervision of the Chef, the Cook prepares, cooks and serves food in accordance with menus, established and standardized recipes, and production control charts. The Cook washes, pares, and cuts fruits and vegetables. In addition, the Cook ensures quality products and service are being provided while maintaining portion sizes and presentation standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** E**ducation, Certifications and Licenses**

High school diploma AND several years experience in the food service sector, or in a related hospitality field.

**Experience**

In commercial food service
In providing customer service

**Knowledge**

Of food preparation
Of food safety practices
Of health and safety practices

**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
Bilingual Essential

Reading: None

Writing: None

Oral: Functional
