**Position Summary**:
A Yard Associate is committed to achieving Northumberland Building Materials Ltd.’s service standards and maximizing sales and service while providing the customers with the best shopping experience possible.

**Location**:This position is at the RONA store in Cobourg, Ontario.

**Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to**:

- Builds loads for delivery, loads orders into customer vehicles, assists with maintenance of yard and warehouse
- Checks each load going out for accuracy at time of load building
- Follows up to ensure completion of all tasks with effective communication.
- Assist in preventative maintenance programs
- Ensures proper and safe handling and storage of inventory products to minimize any damage
- May be required to provide accurate and timely deliveries in a proactive manner

**Qualifications**:

- Positive attitude when dealing with both customers and co-workers
- Exemplary listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills are required
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Physically demanding. Use of ladders and lifting techniques when required. Medium and heavy lifting is a major component of this position
- Flexible availability based on store needs (position includes evenings and weekends)
- First aid trained is an asset
- Valid Ontario Class G (or higher) Driver’s License an asset

Pay: $16.55-$18.00 per hour
