Looking for a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician for 4-5 days per week on a permanent full time basis. Must be able to work Monday to Friday.

We have great hours and are open Monday to Friday 9-6, and closed on Weekends and Statutory holidays.

Job duties include:

- Help patients who are dropping off or picking up their prescriptions
- Entering prescriptions into the computer ensuring accurate entry of drug and patient information into the pharmanet patient records
- Assist the pharmacists, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy
- Counting and labeling of all prescriptions
- Prescription pick up and cashier functions
- Answering phone calls and referring to pharmacist if necessary
- Compounding creams and ointments
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained
- Managing inventory which includes sending and receiving orders, checking shorts and managing balance owes and stock to come
- Prepare inventory counts and expiry date checks every 3 months for regular inventory and monthly for narcotic and benzodiazepine inventory
- Perform daily tasks with detail and accuracy
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and call pharmacist when required for medication recommendations, selection and counseling
- Filing of prescriptions as well as wholesale orders (reconciliation of statements usually bi-weekly)
- Ensure all deliveries are ready at end of day
- Make sure billing is done correctly on accounts payable and receivable and monthly reconciliation of accounts
- Keeping dispensary clean and organized at all times
- Treat staff members and all patients professionally and with respect
- Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience
