Are you the person everyone goes to when they want advice on things to do and see in Victoria? Bring your knowledge and passion for great customer service to the Hotel Grand Pacific We're looking for a Concierge to work with us over the summer. An independent luxury property located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, we offer a more personalized experience focused on guest satisfaction. As part of our Guest Services team, you will be an ambassador for both the Hotel and Victoria.

This is a temporary contract no later than October 31.

Shifts will be scheduled at varying times including early mornings and late evenings.

**Duties**:

- Provide excellent customer service to all guests
- Support the Bell Staff and Door Staff, including parking and tagging valet vehicles
- Maintain a lobby presence at all times
- Respond to all guest inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage the concierge desk information resources
- Use a special skill set to find anything, anywhere, anytime for our guests

**Qualifications & Abilities**:

- 2 years of guest service experience in a hotel, including 1 year as a concierge
- Strong knowledge of local attractions and tourist sites in our surrounding areas of Victoria, Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Whistler and Seattle.
- Unrestricted Class 5 Drivers License and proficient with driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanour - you love to smile and care about making people feel welcome
- Professional verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and able to think on your feet
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Able to stay calm and composed during busy periods
- Typing speed of 45 wpm or higher
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Second language an asset
- Member of Les Clefs d’or Concierge Association is an asset or involvement with the Victoria Guest Services Network is an asset
- Able to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs. without difficulty
- Available to work more than 30 hours per week

**Job Type**: Seasonal

Pay: $25.64 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Driver's License (preferred)
