Position: Afternoon Shift (Monday - Friday 2:30-10:30 pm)

Pay Range: $21.00-23.50/hr

Job Summary

This position is essential to product quality and customer satisfaction. The mixer's primary responsibility is to measure and add dough ingredients in batches to the Mixer. To operate and monitor the mixing of ingredients according to specific formulas in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations, ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met, and maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.

Main Job Responsibilities
- Complete batches already in progress or start new batches according to schedule, check for special instructions by conferring with the supervisor and previous operator.
- Check for changeover times and arrange to obtain the appropriate ingredients (flour, spices) with a forklift operator from staging areas and position them to the mixer station.
- Measure out and mix ingredients according to formula specification, monitor set times and mix accordingly. Oversee the mixing process, perform QC checks, unload completed batch, & transfer to the next station.
- Keep the work area clean and clear, clean equipment, and place trash in proper receptacles.
- Assist with changeovers, end of run, and set-ups as required.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, and confer with the next shift operators.

Skill Requirement
- Must be a team player, able to work with mínimal supervision, and possess a safety-first approach to work.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions and meet the company performance standards for the job, while following prescribed procedures including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Must have basic computer and math/measuring skills.
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools required to perform the job.
- Must be physically fit and able to handle the physically demanding nature of the position
