The Fraser Basin Council Society (FBC) is a non-profit organization that advances sustainability in BC through facilitation, education and program management. We are seeking a motivated Youth Intern with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support the Kitimat Airshed Group (KAG) in administrative, financial, communication, outreach, operational and other related responsibilities. The Youth Intern position is intended to be based in the Kitimat Terrace region through a hybrid working arrangement (home and office). However, remote work from other locations in BC may be considered.

**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Northern Interior Region, the Youth Intern position supports administrative and financial management tasks for the Kitimat Airshed Group (KAG) secretariat.

The intern will have opportunity to gain hands-on, career-relevant experience in a supportive environment that will help advance their career. The intern will work under guidance and mentorship of the Northern Interior Regional Manager with support from the Youth Program Coordinator.

**Essential Job Functions and Duties**
- Coordinate meetings, including logistics, scheduling, agenda development and distribution, and notetaking
- Coordinate the storing, managing and archiving files and records
- Support work of various committees, follow up on action items, and support development of work plans and reports
- Maintain a calendar of KAG activities for internal and external use
- Provide communications support for KAG, including social media, website maintenance and organization of local public engagement events
- Support KAG membership and manage the KAG member database
- Assist the KAG Secretary Treasurer with annual budget preparation, expense tracking and other financial administration tasks
- Help prepare grant proposals as needed

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Research, survey and analysis skills
- Ability to build good working relationships with community members, partners and other staff members
- Experience organizing meetings and note-taking
- Presentation skills

**Salary & Work Environment**
