**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for reviewing and understanding plans and specifications, and ensuring completed work meets the stated requirements. Located at the Woodstock plant, this is a position that requires diligent compliance to safety regulations.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and read engineering drawings, unit drawing, layouts
- Inspect formwork, reinforcement, and casting of pre-cast concrete structures for bridge girders, wall panels and parking garage components, according to building codes, drawings and specifications
- Monitor the manufacturing process for quality and compliance to design and specification requirements
- Inspect finished concrete product components to ensure the quality meets engineering design and project requirements
- Monitor and perform all concrete tests at plant and on site, as required
- Complete lab testing and calibration requirements
- Collect and test raw materials
- Note and report work that does not meet design requirements
- Create and complete project reports; Pre-Pour, post-pour, stressing reports, NCR reports
- Control and maintain project records including engineering drawings, project reports and material test reports
- Proactively suggest improvements to current processes
- Implement approved corrective actions when required
- Work together with engineering and drafting departments to review project and design requirements
- Communicate effectively with all departments including internal and external customers.
**Technical Requirements**
- Civil Technologist or Civil / Engineering Technology diploma or related field
- Experience in a related Quality Control position
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/shop drawings
- Willingness to pursue ACI/PCI certifications
