Brantford, Canada St. Joseph’s Full time

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with day to day HR administrative support in a variety of functions including but not limited to recruitment, employee records, and HR-related projects and initiatives.

This is a temporary full-time summer position that is on-site in Brantford, Ontario.

Key Accountabilities:

- Maintain employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork and conducting orientation sessions.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating training and development initiatives for staff. Provide administrative support for HR-related projects and initiatives.
- Assist with the preparation of ad hoc reports and meeting material;
- Responsible for general Human Resources administration;
- Perform filing and maintain filing system;
- Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary HR or Business Administration program or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills: verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively and in a team setting.
- A results-driven self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Initiative and creativity comfortable with taking on and completing ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated strong internal customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels and client groups of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use discretion and diplomacy when handling confidential information.
