**SUMMARY**

This position is responsible for the accurate and thorough cleaning of the interior and exterior of all customer and dealership vehicles in accordance with the service schedule and keeping records related to gas levels and the condition of the vehicle.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

***The Detailer will provide quality automotive cleaning services to our customers by cleaning vehicles according to company standards or client specifications. These standards and specifications may include performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and waxing exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and deodorizing interiors,
- The incumbent will possess strong customer service skills and be familiar with the tools and agents used to clean and maintain vehicles.
- Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors in compliance with all company standards and client requests.
- Performing inspections and keeping complete, accurate records of the vehicle’s condition as well as gas levels.
- Moving and parking vehicles, delivering vehicles to correct locations or picking owners or drivers up as required.
- Managing inventory and reordering supplies.
- Responding to client inquiries and fulfilling their requests.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**

This position may be required to train and coach others on the tasks associated with the Detailer role.

**SUPERVISION RECEIVED**

This position is supervised by the Detail Manager or delegate for quality, accuracy, timeliness and general performance measures.

**SCOPE FOR INDEPENDENT ACTION**

This position has a limited scope of independent action. The detailer is responsible for determining the extent of cleaning required and the level of work to be completed in order to meet standards.

**MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT**

Operating buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.

Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles according to manufacturers instructions.

The incumbent is also required to complete accurate electronic records, complete ordering requirements and customer communication using basic office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones and copiers.
