Job summary

The Crew Lead is a role model and ambassador in all things Safety, Quality and Production supporting the organization in building the World’s Best Built Spas. They must be responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty They pride themselves on their highly detail-oriented and organized leadership style with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. Not afraid to get their hands dirty and get stuck into the work when needed. The Crew Lead is the first line of contact for the employees in their department and assists the Production Supervisors.

Job responsibilities
- Ensure TAKT time is met on a daily basis (TAKT time measures the average time interval between the start of production of one unit and the start of production of the next unit when items are produced sequentially.)
- Performs all duties associated with the particular department
- Planning and managing projects/initiatives for continuous improvement
- Assists in developing, maintaining and updating training plans for department-specific tasks
- Organizes parts order list for crew
- Organization of jobs for the day to reach daily production plan and monitors for quality
- Signs off the flags (if in order) and logs all production sheets
- Manages the RGA’s and NG’s every week
- Motivate and inspire team to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Communicate all production and quality related feedback to staff and investigate root cause
- Reviews and completes the Plant Area 5S Activity Checklist during shift hours on a daily basis.
- Communicates area and work related concerns with Production Management as they arise
- Addresses and communicates employee performance issues with Human Resources as they arise
- Responsible for the maintenance and completion of the following items:

- Attendance - Track attendance daily, report on attendance levels, and take follow up with the team on attendance issues
- Training records
- Layouts - Esnure department layouts are followed
- Discipline - Performance management of employees within the department, esclating to supervisor and/or HR when needed
- NCR
- 5 Why’s
- OT Requests
- Enforce all health and safety policy items and follow-through on any corrective action for non-conformance
- Ensures that the cleaning of work area and tools is completed by all members of the crew following the Plant Area 5S Activity Checklist.
- Assists with the enforcement of all Coast Spas policies and procedures
- Assists with completing Performance Appraisals
- Any other duties as assigned
- Follow all Coast Spas’ policies, procedures and performance criteria
- Acquire applicable job knowledge regarding Coast Spas products
- Acquire applicable technical skills required to fulfill the job duties
- Maintain exemplary attendance
- Provide a high quality and quantity of work
- Maintain a productive relationship with co-workers, and health and safety management
- Promote the culture of continuous improvement

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in the department with Coast Spas or minimum 5 years of previous work related experience.
