**Job Summary**

**Pet Planet Country Hills** (104, 450 Country Hills Blvd NE, Calgary, AB) is seeking a part-time **Retail Pet Ambassador** to join our team.

**MUST** be available to work **WEEKDAYS, EVENINGS AND WEEK-ENDS.**

- someone who always goes above and beyond in service and teamwork
- someone who has a flair for sales, ensuring that the customers needs are being met at all times
- able to work as an integral team member but also be able to work alone as required
- that is comfortable being on your feet for long periods and physically able to lift 50lbs
- able to work weekdays, evenings and week-ends

**Responsibilities**:

- greet customers and discover the customer's needs
- recommend, select and help locate the right merchandise
- describe a product's features and benefits
- answer customer queries regarding the store and the merchandise
- make suggestions and encourage purchase of products
- receive and process cash, debit and credit payments including counting money, sort charge slips and balance monies
- stay current with product knowledge
- recognize and monitor security issues
- stock, arrange and display merchandise
- keep merchandise area and the store neat and tidy

**Experience**:

- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to read and operate a computer
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead
- standing required for up to 100% of the work time
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
