**Painter - Powder Coat - Afternoon Shift (Term position)**

**Summary**:
The painter is responsible for powder painting all parts and product to a high consistent quality in a fast paced atmosphere. All products are to be painted for protective purposes and for customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Powder coat painting when times scheduled.
- Ensuring product is dry, clean, and free of scratches and other imperfections before paint.
- Regular maintenance of paint booth.
- Assist in organizing staging area so that product flows through paint line to meet assembly and packing area needs.
- Operation of the powder coat curing oven to ensure bake time is used efficiently and oven is full of product as much as possible. Deliver product in assembly in an organized manner ensuring like product is kept together and easily accessible. Ensure paint tags are kept with job so packing/assembly is sure which job it belongs to.
- Regular maintenance in paint/wash area such as cleaning the hanging hooks and loading bars, and sweeping floors. Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrate the accountabilities under Vidir’s Safety Management System and Continuous Improvement Programs and lead by example.

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years industrial Painting experience is preferred
- Experience working in a team environment
- Possess a good attention to detail and knowledge of safe work procedures.
- Basis literacy and numeracy skills
- Any Industrial Painting certificates would be considered an asset.
