La-Z-Boy is looking for an energetic Sales Associate with an interest in design to join our team. At La-Z-Boy, we are all about comfort. The Sales Associate is responsible for creating sales utilizing exceptional customer service and knowledge of the La-Z-Boy selling process, products and services. The Sales Associate strives to create long-term customer relationships that will lead to increased sales and profitability. The Sales Associate develops awareness of interior design through practical experience, observation and interaction with La-Z-Boy Interior Designers.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services offered by La-Z-Boy
- Team with Store Manager, Sales Manager, Interior Designer and selling team to promote the In-Home Design Program and drive overall store sales
- Consistently execute the La-Z-Boy Comfort Selling Process and provide a positive experience for all clientele
- Develop and utilize sales skills and principles including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, answering objections, closing, follow-up, after sale service, and continuing contact with all previous and potential clientele.
- Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives and grassroots programs
- Maintain strong knowledge of features and benefits of product line-up, company standards, La-Z-Boy services, and internal software and procedures
- Assist the Interior Designer to achieve Design program sales goals by scheduling consultations, to present customized room designs, including sample fabrics, furniture, tables and accessories recommendations as well as the benefits of the La-Z-Boy professional design and installation services
- Accurately complete order information, collect payments, keep clientele records
- Assist in handling customer concerns by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives
- Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, driving attitude working alongside staff and clientele.

Required Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a selling role is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport, effectively communicate, and positively influence
- Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills
- Ability to work flexible hours based on the needs of the business including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with general use of computers and tablets
