**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Support the Lead ECE in implementing a quality, play-based, child-centred preschool and child care program.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and community support services to foster a supportive community.
- Demonstrate leadership by assisting in guiding classroom activities and supporting students growth and development following a philosophy of learning through play.
- Adapt methods to meet individual needs, including those of children with support needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Maintain the health and safety of children in care.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Support Duty Parents (parent volunteers) who assist during the morning program.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education practices.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential.
- Experience working in a cooperative childcare program is an asset.
- Certification in Early Childhood Education or ECEA from the province of BC.
- Cleared Criminal Record Check
- First Aid certification
- Strong communication skills in English.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth and development.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
