Site Security Supervisor - Squamish

As our **Site Supervisor **at this location in **Squamish**, you will be responsible for the supervision, direction, training, and orientation of the assigned Security Officers, along with maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule. Your experience leading a team, planning and multitasking, and your excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills will be essential for success in this role.

**This site works 12-hour shifts, 2-weeks on, and 2-weeks off. As the Supervisor, you will be working the day shift, and will be paid $37.00/hour. All employees at this location must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, and hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supervise the assigned site security staff and act as a resource for any security issues
- Ensure adherence to guidelines and standards for security staff
- Maintain and enforce all Paladin and client policies and procedures, and ensure the highest standard of our security program on site
- Support all site Security Officers with their responsibilities
- Conduct site orientation and training of new Officers, ensuring site orientation packages and review tests are completed within the allotted training period
- Ensure all Officers have read and signed all of Paladin's occupational health and safety policies and procedures, and ensure all accidents/near misses are reported in a timely manner
- Monitor performance and document/discipline where standards are not being met
- Ensure all reports are completed, and each Officer submits complete and accurate daily reports and incident reports. Follow up with inaccuracies or omissions. Review all site Incident Reports and escalate incidents as required.
- Conduct security threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments
- Maintain site schedule and training schedule, ensuring that all shifts are covered, and assist with shift coverage where needed
- Ensure all Officers meet the training requirements of the site
- Accept after-hours phone coverage from time to time and be the site Officer’s first contact during phoned questions for site issues
- Arrange coverage for any open shifts due to last minute book offs, medical emergencies, etc., as needed
- Other duties as required to meet operational needs

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
- Minimum of three years experience in the security industry
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
- Willing to work 12-hour days for 14 days, staying at a camp facility, then have 14 days off, under and averaging agreement.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position which may include but are not limited to standing for extended periods of time, walking over uneven surfaces, and patrolling indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and problem solve
- Strong communication, both in writing and verbally
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Strong computer proficiency
