**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**We are seeking full-time and part-time educational assistants (hopefully with a sports coaching background to help support our extra-curricular programs)**

Newly certified teachers hoping to gain experience in a school setting prior to making the leap into classroom teaching are welcome to apply.

**As we are a school within the Catholic School system, we are seeking someone with a similar faith background.**

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Work under the supervision of a certified teacher
- Support students to maximize participation and learning in an inclusive environment
- Assist teachers in designing and implementing individualized or group behavioural and learning support
- Assist in the collection of data, including observations and recording of academic and behavioural performance
- Interact with students in a professional and effective manner
- Participate in IEP/School-Based Team meetings as required
- Have completed Grade 12 or equivalent
- Have current educational assistant certification (desirable, but not mandatory) and/or interest in pursuing a career in education
- Be eligible for a current British Columbia criminal record check
- Have evidence that the personality and character are suitable to work with students who have exceptionalities
- Be willing to work in a team environment

**Involvement in activities of the school welcomed. Experience in volleyball, cross-country, basketball, soccer, and/or track & field an asset.**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour
