Machinist

**We are looking for Machinists We have N opening on our afternoon shift. We have CNC Machines, Lathes, Mills**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Cut, shape and finish metal to make precision machining parts and components
- Set up and operate conventional and numerically controlled metal-cutting machines and equipment
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Check and complete program and dimensions
- Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, temperature and identify issues
- Complete inspection records and reports along with any minor repairs as needed
- Coordinate directly with engineers to understand project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications as needed according to company standards
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a machine shop preferred
- Comfortable with using universal grinders, tool grinders, surface grinders, milling machines and drill presses
- Ability to use precision tools to take measurements (ex. Calipers and micrometres etc.)
- Ability to lift heavy materials
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of choosing proper parameter of machines and materials
