**Human Resources Generalist**

Responsible for developing effective relationships, providing professional HR services to the business, and overseeing all aspects of human resources practices, programs, and processes.

The HR Generalist provides leadership, support, and advice in a range of human resources functions, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, overseeing employee relations, job evaluation and classification, organizational and professional development, conducting research and providing advice and recommendations, developing and delivering training strategies, performing all hiring and terminations, engages in health and safety initiatives, and facilitating discussions on contract terms and amendments as well as conflict resolution proceedings. The HR Generalist is responsible for developing and advising on performance management processes, supporting the development of individual performance plans to foster employee growth, and ensuring alignment between organizational goals and individual contributions.

This is a full-time position at 32 hours a week.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other concerns.
- Lead the recruitment and selection process, including interviews, onboarding, and employee transitions.
- Draft and execute employment contracts and maintain organizational charts.
- Provide confidential counseling for employees on personal and work-related challenges.
- Conduct employee exit interviews, analyzing data to improve retention strategies.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through inclusivity, mutual respect, and teamwork.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions for all new employees.
- Lead conflict resolution meetings and facilitate disciplinary discussions when necessary.
- Develop comprehensive business cases with ROI analyses for raises, promotions, and new hires.
- Create and implement employee retention strategies, performance management tools, and satisfaction surveys.
- Organize and oversee team-building events and professional development initiatives.
- Provide training and coaching for leadership teams, fostering employee engagement and skill development.
- Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Facilitate and conduct disciplinary meetings.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal labour regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Develop and manage comprehensive HR systems, procedures, and policies to align with current and future business objectives, ensuring employees are complying with organizational standards.
- Oversee performance appraisal systems to drive high performance and goal achievement.
- Conduct investigations into workplace issues and recommend appropriate actions.
- Monitor and manage bonus entitlements based on company objectives and metrics.
- Conduct training needs assessments and implement tailored training programs.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive employee records, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Ensures salaries are in line with company goals by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
- Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee concerns; counselling employees and supervisors.
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational courses or conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
- Guide managers on conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs.
- Oversee recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Develop retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Actively participates in health and safety meetings to address workplace concerns and improve safety standards.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations by implementing and maintaining employee checklists to streamline processes and promote adherence to safety protocols.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Degree in Human Resources.
- 3-5 Years proven working experience in a multifunctional HR role.
- Actively pursuing or holding a CPHR designation.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage relationships at all organizational leve
