**Job Summary**:
This role supports the Manufacturing department’s success by assembling precision aerospace components using various tools, techniques, and measuring equipment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assemble parts and components to exact drawing dimensions and customer specifications.
- Work with a variety of materials, including both pre-fabricated and composite components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Use a wide range of hand and power tools to perform precise fitting and assembly tasks.
- Operate measuring instruments such as verniers, scales, micrometers, and other precision tools to verify part accuracy.
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards as defined by customer and company requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and other Production team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company safety and housekeeping standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and production schedules.
**Qualifications/Experience**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in mechanical assembly or fitting, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. preferred but not required
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency with hand tools and measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, and scales.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Additional technical training or certification in mechanical assembly or manufacturing is an asset.
- **Mechanical Aptitude**: You have experience working with mechanical parts and understand the importance of precision fitting.
