Gateway Mechanical currently has an exciting opportunity for a Mine Mobile Equipment Technician

Based in Fort McMurray, AB the Mine Mobile Equipment Technician will be responsible for the installation and service / repair of HVAC systems on Mobile Mine Equipment. They will also install and troubleshoot fire suppression systems on this equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Service new and existing accounts by investigating operator complaints, identifying solutions, conducting tests, and resolving problems;
- Troubleshoot issues with Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning on Mine Mobile Equipment. Installs, maintains and services fire suppression equipment on Mine Mobile Equipment.
- Install or retrofit systems as per specifications, customer requests, manufacturer’s specifications.
- Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance and customer satisfaction.
- Document service and installation actions by completing reports, logs, and records.
- When requested by Customer’s supervision, work with Heavy Equipment Technicians employed by the Customer.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.

- Ability to take the correct initiative and work independently while maintaining clear communication to overseeing Foreman.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Journeyman ticket in one of the following trades: Heavy Equipment Technician, Transport Refrigeration, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic;
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable 5 year driving abstract;
- Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSTS, PSTS, Fall Protection, AWP, H2S Alive, are required.
