**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager (HSM), the Booking and Registration Clerk is responsible for greeting and registration of patients, scheduling, booking and communicating of appointments and procurement of health records for the patient visit. Coordination and booking of diagnostic tests and communicating these to patients, assisting in the general organization, patient flow and efficiency of the ambulatory clinic and for maintaining accurate clinic statistics as required.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII or equivalent required
- One-year administrative/business/secretarial program, or one-year related experience required
- Medical Terminology course preferred
- Experience using PHS and STAR, preferably in an ambulatory care setting; Advanced PHS training preferred
- Computer experience (Windows, MS Office) and typing/keyboarding are required Minimum of 40 wpm with accuracy
- Customer service courses an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Co-ordination, organization and decision making abilities must be present
- Ability to function independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a high volume and high-pressure setting
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:
- Permanent-Part time, 60% FTE, 42 hours biweekly
**Compensation and Incentives**:
$22.89 - $24.89 Hourly
