Position: Lab Technician - Registered Dental Technician

Status: Full time, M-F

Supervisor To: Registered Dental Technician, Lab Assistants & Interns

Description:
Main Responsibilities:
Lab Duties:

- Denture Fabrication: Perform Lab duties associated with the fabrication or modification of removable, & implant supported, as well as other appliances with in RDT scope of practice, in both analog and digital environments
- Digital Denture Fabrication: Designing partial and complete denture’s digitally

Management of Workflow:

- Appropriate Assignment of Lab work to members of the lab team
- Evaluation of Lab work prior to patient appointment or surgical appointment
- Training lab staff on new technique analog and digital
- Scheduling & Time management for lab tasks
- Completion of lab work prior to expected delivery
- Organization of lab & maintenance of equipment
- Ordering & Managing of lab supplies

Key Qualifications / Skills:

- Licensed and registered with a recognized Canadian College of Dental Technicians
- Continuing education courses are an asset
- Familiarity with Ivoclar/Ivocap and an excellent ability to work with this system
- Familiarity with processing of relines, rebases, resets and repairs
- Familiarity with accurately fabricating and refitting acrylic partials onto duplicate models
- Familiarity with denture set-up in wax for complete and partial dentures, including wax-ups for try in and finish
- Ability to accurately mill-in recently processed cases

Schedule: The employee is expected to work 40 hr work week, Mon - Friday

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour
