Psychometrist

**Job Summary**
I am seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with a background in psychological assessment (psychometrist/psychologist/psychological associate) to complete assessment work on a contract basis, meaning you would be paid per assessment as an independent contractor, rather than being hired as an employee. You would have considerable freedom to create your own flexible schedule and to determine the number of assessments you are taking on.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct assessments and evaluations using standardized testing instruments to measure cognitive abilities, academic achievement, adaptive functioning, and emotional well-being in children, adolescents, and adults. Assessments may range from brief screening measures to comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations.
- Write reports summarizing assessment findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and confidentiality regulations.
- Engage with clients and caregivers to complete interviews and discuss assessment findings
- Supervision can be provided for applicants not registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts. The rate of pay will be adjusted depending upon the type of assessment and the relative level of independence of the successful applicant.

**Requirements**:

- Appropriate education covering human development, psychometric testing, statistical analysis and ethical considerations in psychology. Master's in Psychology preferred.
- Experience in administering standardized assessment tools and understanding of the statistical properties of the measurements used
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and with sensitivity to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting.

Pay: $50.00-$100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 20 per week
