Our High-Level Woodlands team has an opportunity for a:
**Operations Forester**

Reporting to the Divisional Operations Superintendent, the Operations Forester will be engaged in a diverse and dynamic role within the High-Level Woodlands team, focusing on West Fraser’s commitment to safety, health, and the environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervising harvest and haul contractors to ensure safety, efficiency, and excellent environmental performance.
- Supervising block layout to ensure high-quality harvest designs are submitted to Government approval agencies.
- Coordination of Company-owned roads and associated maintenance and inspections.
- Coordination of field-based tasks related to the Company’s reclamation program.
- Coordination of the debris disposal program and associated fire control tasks.
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets.
- Implementing activities related to the Company’s certification initiatives.
- Assisting in developing harvest and silviculture plans, including associated fieldwork.
- A forestry diploma or degree
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a team environment with people of different backgrounds
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- High energy and commitment level.
- A current Class 5 driver’s license
- Proficiency with LIMS, LRM, ESRI GIS products, and MS Office
