**The Opportunity**:
The primary purpose of the regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), offers guidance to international students on immigration matters in compliance with federal guidelines. This role involves offering accurate information, proactive assistance, and facilitating referrals to institutional and third-party services and resources.
The In-House Immigration Consultant will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity, and fostering inclusion.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Interpret immigration regulations and government policies within the scope of the certification.
- Monitor the study permit conditions for current international students on campus.
- Oversee the enrollment status of international students, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies.
- Collaborate with academic advisors to assist students with co-op planning, including permits, scheduling, and academic trajectory.
- Resolve status issues, study permits and Co-OP work permit conditions.
- Complete administrative tasks related to maintaining student files, issuing letters in support of students, and other similar duties.
- Participate in events and activities to support international student retention, success, integration, and engagement.
- Conduct regular Information sessions and Workshops for international students related to Immigration programs and updates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**What you bring to the position**:
- Valid Immigration Consultant Certificate in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).
- Minimum of 3 years of formal experience advising international students, developing, and delivering workshops, and activities, and organizing events to improve student success and facilitate transformative experiences.
- 2-3 years of experience in performing administrative tasks.
- Post-secondary 3-year marketing, political science, human services, business, or communication diploma.
- Experience in providing services to newcomers to Canada, particularly in academic or settlement services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated intercultural competence.
- Proficiency in using MS Office products and student learning platforms.
