Now Hiring: Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary:
The Main responsibility for this role is to draw up requirement statements and take part in development projects as an advisor in the area of business and systems use. He/she follows up change requests with users and acts as an intermediary between users and implementation teams. This role will report into Head of Enterprise Data Management and Analytics.

Key Accountabilities:

- Collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders to gather, confirm and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Serve as TMX business activities and systems usage expert, for both business partners and internal teams.
- Participate in activities required for the approval and prioritization of change requests with the business partner and the Head of Enterprise Data Management and Analytics.
- Provide assistance to project stakeholders of project communication, and end-user training
- Define and document requirements into business requirements document (BRD)
- Provide assistance to review QA test cases and scenarios
- Provide BA support to Development and QA teams during the build and test cycles
- Participate in testing, reporting on results, ensuring quality and adherence to the business requirements
- Estimate own BA work effort and provide regular status reports on progress
- Manage data and vendor partnerships and relationships, overseeing their onboarding, technical integration and continued success
- Carries out any other related task assigned by his immediate superior
- Manage scrum meetings when required

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- Strategic thinker- Ability to multi-task- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills- Strong analysis experience- Meticulous attention to detail- Must be a self-starter with ability to follow through on projects assigned

Nice to Haves:
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Management- Equity Market Data knowledge- 3 to 5 years of Capital Market knowledge- Progression toward CFA, CSC, CPH and TTC- Experience in public cloud technology, big data and machine learning an asset- SQL, Python, R and Spark
